Garbage Driver

About the Role

Waste Connections is hiring a Local Garbage Truck Driver at our South Austin, TX site (near the airport). This role involves driving a Residential Garbage Truck with another driver on specified routes to collect solid waste and transport it to disposal sites. The job is highly physical, requiring turns working on the back of the garbage truck as part of a driver/driver team.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, starting at 6 AM, typically working 10+ hour days.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Residential Garbage Truck on specified routes.
• Collect solid waste and transport it to appropriate disposal sites.
• Work physically demanding tasks on the back of the garbage truck.

Requirements

• Class A or B CDL.
• Clean Driving Record.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to lift 65 lbs throughout a 10+ hour shift.
