Garage Tech
Job Overview
The Garage Tech is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas associated with garages, garage stairwells, elevators, and performs environmental services as needed both external and internal.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform janitorial duties
- Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
- Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste
- Operate motorized cleaning equipment
- Use and maintain equipment properly
- Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
- Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
- Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
- Stop at risk behavior of others and self
- Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
- Perform repetitive tasks
- Maintain clean work area
- Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
- Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
- Fill in during staff shortage
- Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
- Use proper personal protective equipment
- Present a professional appearance and conduct
- Understand customer service and satisfaction
- Understand reporting systems, and of the environment
- Able to work without normal supervision
Qualification
- No specific education requirement, 3-6 months training or experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Required to have a valid driver’s license and insurance
- May be required to be forklift certified
- Bilingual a plus
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team
- Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or listen
- The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
Compensation & Shift
Monday - Friday 6 PM - 2:30 AM
$18.50 - $19.00
