Garage Shift Supervisor

Primary

• Affords assistance to the Parking Garage Manager in the operation and daily maintenance of City-owned parking garages.
• Trains, schedules, and manages staff.
• Maintains oversight of daily operations.
• Troubleshoots equipment issues, including pay stations, gate boxes, card access, roll gates, and ticket spitters.
• Engages vendors for necessary repairs.
• Inspects and maintains cleanliness and condition of parking garages, including stairs, lobbies, and garage decks.
• Fulfills standard operating procedures.
• Communicates with staff, customers, supervisors, and vendors, fostering positive relations.

Job Requirements

• One year of supervisory experience in a customer service-oriented industry or a similar field.
• Experience with financial operations involving cash handling.
• General maintenance and parking garage maintenance experience preferred.

Difficulty of Work and Personal Work Relationships

• Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor settings, often in adverse weather conditions.
• On-call 24/7 for emergency response.
• Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with various stakeholders, including co-workers, city officials, community groups, and the general public.
• Requires effective communication and interpersonal skills.
