Garage Door Installer

Key Responsibilities

  • Gathers materials per the work order and loads and unloads materials on to truck and job site
  • Installation of garage doors & operators according to the standards and specifications of the work order
  • Completes the Labor Detail report daily and ensures it is submitted on time
  • Maintain all tools, materials, and lifts, etc.
  • Completes paperwork for each job and provides it to the Production Manager daily
  • Observes job site safety rules and knows the location of the SDS books in your vehicle
  • Maintains truck maintenance and completes truck inspections daily
  • Complies with OSHA guidelines and company safety policies and procedures
  • Drives a company vehicle and follows all driving safety rules and DOT requirements at all times
  • Responsible for cleaning up the job site after each job
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Role Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Garage Door Technician or in a related field
  • Strong knowledge of various garage door models, components, and systems
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing garage door systems
  • Able to effectively use hand and power tools specific to the garage door industry
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate technical information to non-technical customers
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
