About the Role
This opportunity is designed for individuals interested in pursuing a career in the medical or healthcare sector and wish to gain practical experience before continuing their education in professional healthcare programs. As a Gap Year Medical Assistant Intern, you will engage in a comprehensive, hands-on learning experience that encompasses both clinical and administrative functions. You will also have the unique opportunity to shadow our skilled clinical team during surgical procedures and receive valuable mentorship. This is a full-time, paid internship, and positions may be available for a commitment of 18-24 months.
Responsibilities
- Patient education
- Rooming patients
- Collecting medical histories
- Assisting with physical exams
- Learning billing processes
- Performing various administrative tasks
Requirements
