About the role

Spend your summer with us at UnityPoint Health - Meriter in Madison, Wisconsin! Each year, six students are selected for a 12‑week paid summer internship that provides broad exposure to the hospital environment. During the program, interns are assigned to a hospital department where they complete an individual project and participate in a collaborative group project. Students also gain hands‑on experience within their assigned department, attend meetings, and have opportunities to shadow healthcare professionals across various disciplines.

Eligibility

• Open to undergraduate students in their freshman, sophomore, or junior year.
• Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college or university at the time of the program.
• Ideal for students interested in clinical or administrative health care careers.

Schedule

Shift: Monday through Friday; typical hours 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Hours per week: 40. Program dates: May 24, 2027 – August 13, 2027 (12‑week summer internship).
