Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Protect Tribal Assets, as related to gaming, to ensure the honesty and integrity of all Gaming Operations conducted by the Tribe.
- Become intimately familiar with the Internal Controls, Policies and Procedures of all departments in the gaming facility.
- Become familiar with the organizational structure of each department, i.e., their staff responsibilities, etc.
- Conduct floor observations of the interior of the Agua Caliente Casino property, concentrating on the gaming areas.
- Performing observations, being visible on the gaming floor, as a representative of the ACGC.
- Identify potential problems and risks with respect to Internal Controls, Casino, ACGC and Tribal Policies.
- Aid in liaison between Commission Agents and Casino Management to ensure the smooth operations of the Casino.
- Aid in developing and maintaining a department file/computer system so that all information, reports and evidence is properly tracked and is readily available to the ACGC Management.
- Generate reports and findings of observations made, Recommend appropriate Course of Action to the Gaming Inspector Manager.
- Conduct Departmental Control Inspections to validate that Casino Department Personnel are complying with selected controls & policies.
- All violations are documented to identify overall Department Compliance.
- Take appropriate action to resolve and/or investigate customer complaints, as required by ACBCI Internal Controls and Gaming Inspector Department Policies.
- Be aware of, and report thereof, Safety & Physical Hazards with in the Casino that might jeopardize the safety of the customers and/or employees.
- Verify employee identification, license status, and access status on a regular basis.
- Verify Vendor access and/or license compliance based on Commission Procedures.
- Interact with Casino Employees, to ensure the safe and enjoyable entertainment of the Spa Casino customers.
- Monitor all Casino areas to ensure that all regulations and internal controls are being adhered to.
- Complete other job related tasks as directed.
Qualifications
- Education and/or Experience: Candidate must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent and have one (1) year related experience, within the Commission Gaming Inspector Department.
- Knowledge: Be knowledgeable with Tables Games, Gaming Machines, Cash Operations as related to the daily operations carried out by the Commission Gaming Inspector Department and the occurrences that pertain to them.
- Skills: Be skilled in prioritizing responsibilities and assignments with minimal supervision and completing them in a timely manner. Must possess excellent oral and written skills and can demonstrate initiative and motivation.
- Working Conditions/Physical Demands: Candidate must be able to compose clear, concise and effective reports. Must have the ability to conduct investigations and departmental audits. Must have the mental qualities to document sound judgments and decisions that will benefit the Commission. To perform this job successfully the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 ½ mile, climbing stairs/step ladders and sitting at a desk work station for the duration of the shift. Also may be subjected to a smoke filled environment. Typically the individual will be housed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but will escalate when located in the casino environment. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a maximum of 30 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-lined telephone.
