Gameplay Engineer

This role will lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a Media environment.

Responsibilities

• Create limited-time events with unique gameplay
• Develop quests and daily activities to boost user retention
• Design social experiences to enhance player interaction
• Write, debug, and improve networked gameplay systems
• Respond quickly to testing feedback and iterate on designs
• Provide technical insights and game design ideas
• Collaborate with designers and back-end engineers on both real-time and asynchronous features

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of relevant programming experience in the game industry
• Excellent 3D Vector Math Skills
• Proficient in 3D art tools like Maya
• Experience developing gameplay systems for designer use
• Strong attention to detail
• Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities
• Fluency in C, C++, or C# and object-oriented programming
• Familiarity with scripting languages (LUA, JSON)
• MMO experience

Pay

$105,000 – $133,000 annually
