Game Producer
About the role
You will be the person who makes sure everyone in the studio knows what they are working on, when it is due, and what comes next. This is a hands-on production role where you will live in Jira, talk to every person in the studio every week, and be the first call when anyone has a question about tasks, priorities, or blockers. At TapBlaze, you are the production org—there is no additional layer.
Responsibilities
- Own Jira and all associated planning tools for every active game project, including board structure, workflow, hygiene, and reporting.
- Assign owners and due dates to every task, including cross-team and cross-office requests, ensuring nothing sits in limbo.
- Monitor schedule risk, flagging slipping milestones early and driving tradeoff conversations to decide when to push the team or cut scope.
- Run standups, keeping them short and valuable for attendees.
- Serve as the single point of contact for the studio, providing clear answers to questions about priorities and tasks.
Requirements
- 3 to 6 years of production experience in games, specifically free-to-play mobile titles with live ops.
- Experience shipping content updates on a recurring cadence and familiarity with event calendars.
- Deep working knowledge of Jira as an admin (building workflows, not just moving tickets).
- Ability to hold people accountable to deadlines without being avoided.
- Clear, fast written communication.
- Experience coordinating across time zones is a plus (part of the production team is in Beijing).
- Reliably commute or relocate to Los Angeles, CA, before starting work.
- Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods.
