Game Lands Maintenance Worker 1

About the role

The Pennsylvania Game Commission seeks a Game Lands Maintenance Worker 1 to support conservation and recreation efforts through hands-on work.

Responsibilities

• Construct and repair game land infrastructure such as bridges, roads, parking areas, gates, signs, and public ranges
• Safely use heavy equipment and tools to complete maintenance and habitat management tasks
• Aid with mowing, habitat management projects, and other field tasks
• Work closely with field staff to ensure game lands are in excellent condition
• Support team efforts to maintain safe, accessible, and wildlife-friendly environments

Requirements

• One year of laboring experience using construction tools and equipment
• One year of farming experience using agricultural tools and equipment
• One year of construction equipment operation experience
• An equivalent combination of experience and training

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent
• Must obtain an active Class A Commercial Driver’s License within one year of employment
• Ability to perform essential job functions

Benefits

Full-time employment with work hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday. Alternate Work Schedules (AWS) may be available. No telework option. Salary may be non-negotiable.
