Game Lands Maintenance Worker 1

About the role

The Pennsylvania Game Commission is seeking a Game Lands Maintenance Worker 1 to support the maintenance, repair, and improvement of game land structures and outdoor areas used by wildlife and the public.

Responsibilities

• Field Maintenance: Assist with mowing, habitat projects, and general outdoor upkeep
• Infrastructure Work: Help maintain roads, bridges, parking areas, gates, and signs
• Ranger Support: Perform tasks that keep public shooting ranges safe and functional
• Repair Assistance: Take part in construction and repair of various game land structures
• Team Collaboration: Work with field staff to support conservation and public access needs
• Outdoor Readiness: Carry out physical tasks in varied weather and terrain conditions

Requirements

• Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of laboring experience using construction tools and equipment; or one year of farming experience using agricultural tools and equipment; or one year of construction equipment operation experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Special Requirements: Active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent; ability to obtain an active Class A Commercial Driver’s License within one year of employment in this job.
