About the role

ITSS owns and operates Carolina Games Summit, hosting events across the eastern United States and collaborating with numerous existing events. Join as a volunteer for our collaboration with Game and Geek Expo, September 4th–6th, 2026. Opportunities range from short-term assistance to year-round involvement in event creation.

Responsibilities

• Assist tournament directors or other volunteers
• Register attendees and answer event-related questions
• Test and set up equipment
• Market the event
• Introduce and manage tournament brackets and free-play areas
• Provide general hospitality services, including cleanup and tear-down

We are always seeking tournament directors and promoters to expand our event offerings.

Requirements

• A love of video games
• Strong work ethic with high standards of quality
• Willingness to contribute to long-term event success
• Preferably over 18 years old (or parental permission if under 18)
• Recommendation letter from a parent or current/former employer

A background check will be performed on all volunteers.
