About the role
The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of curators, educators, and administrators dedicated to advancing the field of art museum curation. Reporting to the Director of Curatorial Affairs, this position will focus on developing and implementing innovative exhibition programs, managing collections, and fostering community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new exhibition projects, collaborating with artists, designers, and other curators.
- Manage the acquisition, care, and conservation of the museum’s collection, ensuring its preservation for future generations.
- Plan and execute public programming, including lectures, workshops, and tours, to engage diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with other departments within the museum to enhance visitor experiences and support educational initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the museum’s strategic goals and objectives.
Requirements
- A Master’s degree in Art History, Museum Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in curatorial work, preferably in a museum setting.
- Proven ability to manage and develop exhibitions, collections, and public programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Experience working with diverse communities and promoting inclusivity.
- Knowledge of contemporary art trends and practices.
- Experience with digital platforms and social media for outreach and engagement.
Skills
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with museum management software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay
$60,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on experience.
