Responsibilities

• Monitors the calibration status of all measurement, gaging, and inspection equipment used within the plant, including nut runners, load cells, and LVDTs.
• Maintains safety stock of hand gauges and replaces shop floor gauges due for calibration as needed.
• Coordinates with outside contractors to calibrate all gauges that require third-party validation.
• Maintains accurate calibration certificates, risk assessments, and corresponding gauge tracking software.
• Assists Manufacturing Engineering with OK/NG master parts, maintains a log of such devices, and coordinates periodic validation activities.
• Examines measurement and gaging devices at prescribed intervals and records calibration activities to establish a traceable history of events.
• Works with the Quality Lab supervisor to conduct frequent audits of the shop floor and other areas where gauges and master parts are used to ensure compliance with gauge control procedures.
• Collaborates with the maintenance department to maintain the calibration schedule for manufacturing equipment.
• Organizes and conducts measurement systems analysis for gauge families as needed.
