GA Pre K Assistant Teacher

About This Role

This GA Pre K Assistant Teacher opportunity at Chroma Early Learning Academy serves Preschool (3–5) and requires an active Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. Based in Tyrone, GA, candidates bring experience in early childhood education and development.

Teacher Responsibilities

• Supervision and daily class functions of a group of children
• Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment
• Support each child’s social and emotional development and provide positive guidance
• Absess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis
• Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Chroma Early Learning Academy curriculum and programming
• Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence
• Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior
• Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas, and playgrounds
• Attends all staff meetings, workshops, and/or school functions
• Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the Chroma Early Learning Academy Employee Handbook
• Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children

Requirements

• Satisfactory Background Check
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have CDA, TCC, Paraprofessional Certificate, or college degree.
