Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Georgia Pre-K Assistant Teacher to support our Lead Teacher in creating a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment for four-year-old children. This role involves assisting with daily classroom activities, supporting lesson implementation, and helping foster children's social, emotional, and academic development.
Responsibilities
- Assists with daily classroom activities and supports lesson implementation
- Helps to foster children's social, emotional, and academic development
- Collaborates with the Lead Teacher to maintain classroom routines and ensure compliance with Bright from the Start (DECAL) standards
- Supports the creation of a positive and well-organized classroom environment
- Provides clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior while offering verbal recognition and acceptance
- Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence
- Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas, and playgrounds
- Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Chroma Early Learning Academy curriculum and programming
- Assesses each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis
- Observes all rules and regulations at Chroma Early Learning Academy and the local, state, and national agencies pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children
- Sets a positive example by maintaining overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the Chroma Early Learning Academy Employee Handbook
- Supports each child's social and emotional development and provides positive guidance
- Supports the implementation of the approved curriculum and daily classroom schedule
- Supports the supervision and daily class functions of a group of children
- Attends all staff meetings, workshops, and/or school functions
- Maintains a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment
Requirements
- Satisfactory Background Check
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have CDA, TCC, Paraprofessional Certificate, or college degree
