About the role

As a volunteer, you will go out into (urban) nature with a group of children. You will do this together with 1 or more other volunteers. Parents/supervisors are welcome to join the children. The activities last a maximum of 3 hours (including preparation and wrap-up) and usually take place on a Wednesday or at the weekend. You can indicate how often you want to volunteer, which can range from 4 times a year to, for example, every month.

Responsibilities

• Let children experience how fun it is to play in nature, whether in sunshine or rain.
• Go out with a group of children (aged 4–12) in (urban) nature, together with 1 or more volunteers.
• Share your own ideas; together we will look at what is possible.

Requirements

• Enthusiasm is sufficient; no special training or experience is necessary.
• Affinity with children aged 4–12.
• No prior knowledge of nature required.
• IVN Tilburg will apply for a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) together with you; there are no costs involved for you as a volunteer.

Schedule and commitment

• Activities last up to 3 hours (including preparation and wrap-up).
• Activities usually take place on a Wednesday or at the weekend.
• You can choose your own frequency: from 4 times a year to every month.
• Start: immediate
• Duration: indefinite
