FY27: Director, Facility Operations

Summary Description

Under direction of Division of Facilities Management, responsible for planning and administering the countywide school plant operations program. Ensures schools and buildings are safe and clean, and heating and air conditioning equipment is in proper operating condition. Supervises, organizes, and leads staff and facility operations.

• Wage Range: $138,683 - $193,078

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Thorough knowledge of Board of Education, local, state, and federal laws, rules, policies, regulations and procedures dealing with building operations.
• Thorough knowledge of school plant and building service practices, procedures and methods.
• Excellent organizational ability.
• Excellent oral and written communications and human relations skills.

Education, Training, And Experience

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university on school administration, facilities management, business administration, or a related field required.
• Minimum of five years of increasingly responsible leadership experience related to plant operations functions in a large private or government organization preferred.
