Summary Description
Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, Project Management, assists in administering the design, construction, closeout and warranty for a diverse portfolio of construction projects. The nature of the work requires assistance in the application of the principals and practices of construction project management, including developing specifications for construction, revitalization and modification projects, and can clearly communicate to all stakeholders involved in the process.
Physical Demands
- Ability to complete construction inspection activities.
- Ability to physically access all areas of a construction site both indoor and outdoor.
Special Requirements
- Ability to travel between construction sites on an unscheduled basis.
- Occasional overtime required.
Job Specific Information
- An applicant with a strong background in roofing is preferred.
- A written and/or hands-on assessment may be given.
Wage Range
The wage range for this position is between $36.44 and $52.46 per hour, based on years of service.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Professional knowledge of, and skill in applying, the theories, concepts, principles, computer systems applications, and methodology of the art and science of architecture relevant to the development of working drawings for the construction of a wide range of new or rehabilitation of existing institutional structures.
- Knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, electrical, structural engineering and specialty methods, and techniques of construction management to ensure that projects are completed in a timely manner and in full compliance with required quality standards.
- Knowledge of project management, budget and estimation, resource and schedule planning.
- Demonstrated ability to use standard office equipment and software skills utilizing MS Office Suite: (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project), Adobe Acrobat, and AutoCAD efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to exercise independent initiative, establish priorities, organize resources, and make procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues.
- Ability to make decisions in accordance with established procedures and practices required.
Education, Training, Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction or related field or three years or more of equivalent work experience.
- Two or more years of increased responsibility in the administrative, technical and field experience in Architectural, Engineering and Construction industry.
- Two years or more experience in building design, preferably in designing school facilities.
