FWRD Inventory Lead

Main Purpose of the FWRD Inventory Lead Role

The FWRD Inventory Lead role is responsible for directing and coordinating the organized movement of incoming inventory from inbound teams to their designated storage locations within the warehouse. The role also involves solutions to ensure accuracy, streamline workflow, optimize, and enhance efficiency.

Major Responsibilities

• Spearhead the putaway process for units coming from receiving, returns and various teams
• Maintain high levels of storage accuracy
• Precise slotting of high value inventory
• Manage capacity within the facility so all inventory is put away in a timely manner
• Troubleshoot location discrepancies and overstock situations
• Lead team in coaching, pacing and holding employees accountable for speed and accuracy
• Able to train new employees on inner workings of inventory and its movement

Required Competencies

• Ability to work in a team environment and give honest and direct feedback
• Ability to work in the intensity of a high-volume inventory/processing system and uphold the highest accuracy standards
• Creative aptitude and vision to recognize, understand, and respond to the needs of order processing in an e-commerce fulfillment environment
• Flexibility in regards to schedule

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years in e-commerce fulfillment
• Putaway experience within a warehouse environment
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to communicate properly both in person and electronically

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual (Spanish and English)
• 1+ years team leadership experience
• Working knowledge of WMS
