About the role
Volunteers of America Delaware Valley is seeking a skilled, client-centered Domestic Violence Abuse Intervention Clinician.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical social work services to clients participating in the Abuse Intervention Program
- Conduct clinical assessments and contribute to individualized treatment planning
- Deliver individual and/or group therapy using evidence-based approaches
- Provide clinical consultation and client-centered advocacy throughout care
- Participate in a Multi-Disciplinary Treatment Team to coordinate treatment and behavioral supports
- Support discharge planning to promote continuity of care and responsible transition
- Complete post-discharge follow-ups to reinforce progress and reduce recidivism risk
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and professional records
- Communicate professionally with staff and outside partners as needed
- Participate in supervision, trainings, and required program meetings
- Follow confidentiality and agency policies and procedures
- Complete other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Professional mental health license (LPC or LCSW) and/or 2 years of appropriate experience
- Working knowledge of Social Learning Theory, Cognitive-Behavioral interventions, Motivational Interviewing, and clinical assessment/evaluation
- Training and experience in domestic violence is required
- Strong interpersonal (“people”) skills and the ability to engage clients effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage priorities
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency driving standards
