Future Talent -Maintenance Engineer Trainee

About the role

This is a 24-month technical development program focused on industrial maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and commissioning of food and beverage processing and packaging equipment at customer manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and reliability-focused maintenance
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation faults
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, and startup activities
• Interpret electrical schematics
• Use PLC software (e.g., Allen-Bradley and Siemens) for diagnostics and functional checks
• Apply root cause analysis and continuous improvement practices
• Complete service documentation and maintenance records
• Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO), machine safety, and site-specific safety procedures
• Collaborate with experienced service engineers, technicians, and customer maintenance teams

Requirements

• Early-career technical graduates from associate degree, certification, or hands-on technical programs
• Valid U.S. driver’s license required
• Able to travel up to 80% domestically for on-site customer support

• Associate degrees
• Technical diplomas or certifications
• Trade, vocational, or military technical training programs
• Relevant fields include (but are not limited to): Industrial Maintenance Technology, Electromechanical Technology, Automation and Control Systems, Electrical or Mechanical Technology, Mechatronics, Diesel Technology, Heavy Equipment Maintenance, Industrial Robotics

Skills

• Knowledge of industrial maintenance principles
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation faults
• Experience with PLC software (e.g., Allen-Bradley and Siemens)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is $54,000.00–$62,500.00. Short-term incentives are eligible for a performance-based bonus of up to 10% of the annual base salary.
