Responsibilities
As Store Manager, a lot of responsibility will rest on your shoulders. You’ll lead the charge in every aspect of your store’s day-to-day operations and plans for future success, and you’ll be the one person ultimately accountable for setting the standard for amazing customer experiences, top-notch employee performance, and budget-beating sales.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Actively working the sales floor to achieve the store’s sales goals
- Leading all staff in world-class customer service to deliver on all financial goals of the organization
- Participating in the annual budgeting process, quarterly/monthly financial review meetings, and other meetings as necessary
- Organizing, implementing, and validating staff training
- Conducting bi-weekly leadership meetings with Service Lead, Sales Lead, and Inventory Lead
- Participating in store merchandising to ensure a professional, accessible, and inviting shopping experience
- Monitoring store supplies and ordering or purchasing additional supplies as needed
- Actively taking part in all aspects of human resources and staffing within the store
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Retail fundamentals knowledge, including KPIs, profit & loss statements, and budgets
- Leadership experience, with at least a year of experience coaching, inspiring, and bringing out the best in people
- At least 2 years of experience in the retail world
- Operational skills, including inventory, merchandising, payroll, scheduling, and customer service
- A love for bikes and a passion for helping others discover cycling
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to figure things out quickly
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to keep it clear, real, and respectful
- Comfort with change and the ability to be flexible and resourceful
