Future School Counselor

About the role

The primary goal of the Future School Counselor is to provide guidance and support to students in grades 6-12, focusing on academic planning, career exploration, and personal development.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual counseling sessions to students to address academic, social, and emotional needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and community members to develop comprehensive student support systems.
• Develop and implement programs that promote positive school culture and student success.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of student records and progress reports.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in counseling or a related field.
• Valid Ohio teaching license or ability to obtain one within six months of employment.
• Experience working with adolescents and a strong understanding of adolescent development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
