Future Opportunity
The selected candidate will work as a cyber security specialist at an Army program office. The cybersecurity specialist will support the program office in developing security documentation and procedures in coordination with both internal and external agencies to insure compliance with Department of Defense (DOD) regulations and to obtain Authorizations To Operate (ATOs) for information systems operated by the office.
Duties
- Developing Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation to fulfill the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) 2014 requirements
- Categorizing a webserver(s) in accordance to the Committee on National Security Systems Instruction (CNSSI) 1253
- Implementing security controls from NIST SP 800-53
- Working directly with the Information System Owners and ISSM to document the requirements for RMF
- Developing and implementing standardized policies and procedures for the control families identified for implementation
- Working with the local Network Enterprise Center (NEC) to ensure the production servers are operational
- Performing privacy impact analysis to ensure Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is not compromised
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an IT related field
- 5 years general Management Information Systems and/or cybersecurity experience
- Existing SECRET security clearance
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite products
- Experience supporting or working in an Army Program/Product office preferred
