Responsibilities
- Proven success in all tasks and skills as defined in the Production Technician II role (P7019H).
- Maintains department's assets to ensure the site is in a state of production readiness.
- Executes operations-based work orders and initiates work orders for repairs/improvements to Computerize Maintenance Management System (Maximo).
- Intermediate level Antares and work vision systems to increase efficiency and decrease production downtime.
- Participates in root cause analysis, '5 Whys' method, and initial investigations.
- Drive a safety culture through active participation in the site safety committee.
- Adhere to Environmental, Health, and Safety procedures and guidelines, and facilitate a proactive safety culture.
- Service and operate automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment, or equivalent, to complete assigned tasks autonomously.
- Proficient in mechanical troubleshooting. Fully capable in troubleshooting and resolving equipment and process related setup and operation issues. Ability to escalate and communicate to Engineering & Maintenance appropriately if further troubleshooting and repairs are required.
- Partners with Maintenance and Engineering by identifying equipment and process related improvements and assisting/owning implementation.
- Serves as Operations representative and participant for qualification of new equipment installations, technology, and projects by attending and executing Factory Acceptance Testing (FATs).
- Supports New Product Implementation (NPIs) as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5 plus years cGMP manufacturing experience operating automatic, manual, or semi-automated equipment in production processes in accordance with operating procedures is strongly preferred.
- Technical experience and troubleshooting aptitude in manufacturing and packaging.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new programs and applications required.
- A demonstrated focus and understanding of the importance of maintaining the highest level of quality and ensuring compliance to site level policies and procedures.
- Ability to communicate issues to appropriate operations, engineering and mechanical teams required and the capability of reading P&IDs.
- Proficient understanding of HMI controls, vision inspection systems, and product serialization systems in order to troubleshoot and resolve inefficiencies in a timely manner.
- Evaluate data and understand trends and alarms.
- Knowledge in mechanical equipment, including pumps, piping, manifolds and valves.
- Requires standing up to 8-12hs per day and lifting up to 25 pounds.
