Furniture Installer

About the role

Safely and efficiently install furnishings and accessories in timeshare units and other resort facilities. Perform repairs in a timely manner.

• Use a tape measure, unwrap and unload furniture from trucks, remove debris, and recycle packaging materials
• Coordinate pickups as needed
• Wall mounting and art installation
• Perform other tasks as directed by management or supervisor
• Stoop, bend, and lift an average of 120 pounds
• Navigate rough terrain and stairs

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments, inspect merchandise for quality and damage, and report any issues
• Perform quality checks and general maintenance repairs, including touch-up painting and minor furniture repairs
• Assist the Replacement staff as needed and attend staff development meetings
• Organize daily assignments to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Basic computer knowledge and experience operating small hand tools
• Strong communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and the general public
• Good driving record (preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Qualifications

• Previous experience in material handling or assembly (a plus)
• Previous experience in the hospitality industry or student housing (preferred, but will train the right candidate)

Pay

$14.00 per hour

Schedule

• Full-time, year-round work at one location
• Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
