Furnace Tech Level 1

About the role

The Foundry Furnace Tech must be able to perform all operations and operate equipment efficiently in performing duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform all operations and operate equipment efficiently.
• Maintain work area to meet department standards.
• Communicate verbally and in writing with departments such as maintenance, ergonomics, etc.
• Work under normal effort requirements, capable of lifting up to 30 pounds approximately 5 times per hour.
• Follow verbal instructions and communicate across shifts.
• Willingness to work daily and weekend overtime as necessary.

Requirements

Education: High school education.

Experience: One month Basic On-the-Job Training (OJT), Three months training technique.

Initiative and Ingenuity

Normal initiative and ingenuity required. Must be able to lift 16-30 pounds approximately 5 times per hour. Hoist used for weights above 30 pounds.

Effort

Normal effort required. Must be able to lift 16-30 pounds approximately 5 times per hour. Hoist used for weights above 30 pounds.

Qualifications

Education: High school education.
