Furnace Operator

About the role

Linde Advanced Material Technologies Inc. is seeking a Furnace Operator for a 3rd shift position in Indianapolis, IN.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and follow Product Manufacturing Instructions (PMIs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and production schedules to execute daily tasks.
• Support and participate in safety initiatives as needed.
• Operate and maintain large-scale powder production equipment, including atomizers, spray dryers, power cabinets, blenders, screeners, forklifts, scissor lifts, cranes, and pallet jacks.
• Complete minor to moderate machine adjustments and maintenance repairs as needed.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow complex work instructions with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in performing mathematical operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, across all units of measure.
• Experience operating plant equipment and industrial vehicles.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, reach, manipulate hands and fingers, stoop, crouch, climb, and lift up to 44 lbs.
• Ability to safely wear and work while using a full-face or half-face respirator.
• Strong computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

Qualifications

• Must be physically capable of performing tasks that involve frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, hand and finger manipulation, as well as occasional stooping, crouching, climbing, and lifting up to 44 lbs.
• The ability to safely wear and work while using a full-face or half-face respirator is required.
• Strong computer proficiency is required, including demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), as well as the ability to quickly learn and navigate production-specific software and systems.

Skills

• Strong batch chemistry math skills, including the ability to accurately perform calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and weight percentage conversions across various units of measure.
• Proficiency in operating plant equipment and industrial vehicles.
• Ability to safely operate and maintain large-scale powder production equipment, including atomizers, spray dryers, power cabinets, blenders, screeners, forklifts, scissor lifts, cranes, and pallet jacks.
• Ability to complete minor to moderate machine adjustments and maintenance repairs as needed.
