Funeral Operative

About the role

This role is responsible for delivering funerals and coordinating back of house operations to fulfill service requirements, while maintaining a good working relationship with key partners and promoting the business.

Responsibilities

• Deliver funerals the 'Coles Way'
• Coordinate back of house operations to fulfill service requirements
• Follow policies, systems, and processes in accordance with the operations manual
• Assist in the delivery of back of house key functions, including collection, preparation, and conveyance of the deceased, identification and recording processes, stock rotation, and cleanliness of back of house
• Assist in the delivery of regimental 'funeral day' key functions, including immaculate presentation of the fleet, driving allocated vehicles, acting as pall bearer, and providing guidance to the family and congregation
• Participate in the on call rota and telephone cover rota as required
• Perform any other duties deemed necessary by the supervising manager to meet the needs of the business

Requirements

• Full UK driving license
• Immaculate personal presentation and hygiene
• Good interpersonal skills
• Basic literacy, numeracy, and IT skills
• Positive, respectful attitude
• Ability to receive instruction and work as part of a team
• Empathetic and compassionate manner
• Full discretion due to the confidential and sensitive nature of the business

Pay and Schedule

Starting rate of £13 per hour, working casual hours.
