Job Responsibilities

  • Arranges calls to deceased next of kin and confirms details.
  • Gathers and updates removal status in proprietary software.
  • Celebrates the deceased and their loved ones during visitation, funeral, and graveside services.
  • Facilitates cemetery property and merchandise options, pricing, and contract completion.
  • Performs event planning tasks such as setting up rooms, ordering supplies, and producing MeM products.
  • Communicates with the family to fulfill death care requests and promotes pre-need services.
  • Handles attendant duties like parking lot attendant, usher, pallbearer, or courier.
  • Participates in community or charity events to represent the location or market.

Requirements

  • Graduated from an accredited school or college of mortuary science.
  • Current Funeral Director license within the practicing state.
  • Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Knowledgeable about local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Proficient in MS Office and database automation.
  • Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and public speaking abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
