Fundraising Specialist
About the role
Legacy Paws Rescue is run entirely by one person—a veteran, one five-acre sanctuary, and an unwillingness to leave any dog behind. The dogs who come to us arrive with stories: some were abandoned on roadsides, some came from neglect, and some spent years in conditions that left marks requiring time and patience to undo. We take them all in, figure out who they are, and fight for them until they are safe and in the right home. It is working, but one person cannot do it alone forever.
We need a skilled volunteer specialized in fundraising to help us raise up to $25,000 for one of our dog's recent surgeries. This could become an ongoing role as needs arise. Social media isn’t currently driving donations effectively due to the extra step of navigating to a link in our bio for Instagram fundraising. We’re looking for someone with fresh ideas to help us meet our goal.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute fundraising strategies to raise up to $25,000 for a dog’s surgery.
- Identify new opportunities for donations and engagement beyond current social media efforts.
- Create compelling campaigns that resonate with donors and simplify the giving process.
- Provide ongoing support for future fundraising needs as they arise.
