About the role

The Manager of Walk to End Alzheimer’s leads the largest Walk to End Alzheimer’s event in the nation, focusing on community and corporate engagement to drive revenue and achieve event goals.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate key community and corporate leaders to achieve revenue goals
  • Secure new five/six/seven figure corporate sponsorships, teams, participants, Champions, and volunteers
  • Create and manage vendor and cause marketing activation campaigns
  • Generate a positive return on investment and increase fundraising revenue
  • Identify members for Executive Leadership Committees and Chair/Vice-Chair positions
  • Recruit, manage, and coach volunteers to implement best and proven practices
  • Manage or coach multiple volunteer-led mass-market events resulting in revenue growth
  • Build and maintain a positive, healthy, and inclusive team environment
  • Manage event budgets, train volunteers, set timelines and milestones, and use data to achieve positive outcomes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in recruiting and mobilizing volunteers to achieve goals
  • 3 - 5 years successful experience of meeting sales targets
  • Confident, goal-oriented, positive self-starter, able to work independently with limited supervision and collaboratively with internal and external partners
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and nurture corporate relationships and partnerships
  • Ability to manage large numbers of volunteers at different levels of expertise with diplomacy
  • Ability to work with diverse communities and demonstrate inclusion, coupled with the ability to work in a highly matrixed organization
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication and follow-through
  • Able to manage up to 60% travel within the assigned territory

  • Proven success at building sustainable corporate and community relationships
  • Successfully recruited, managed, and coached volunteers to achieve fundraising goals
  • Strong computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office products and social media
  • Experience with Luminate/Convio software

Pay

The Alzheimer’s Association’s good faith expectation for the salary range for this role is between $75,000 to $85,000 annual salary. There is a performance-based incentive opportunity of up to $13,000, depending on portfolio size and achievement of quarterly goals.

Schedule

This role is full-time, exempt, based on 37.5 hours per week minimum.
