Position Summary

More than a DIY fundraiser, Do What You Love to End ALZ (formerly The Longest Day) is a signature event of the Alzheimer’s Association, and one of the fastest-growing and unique campaigns in the world. As exclusive manager of Do What You Love to End ALZ in your community, you will leverage your networking and relationship-building skills to identify and engage new audiences and corporate partners.

Responsibilities

  • Build sustainable corporate and community relationships contributing to event revenue goals and increasing brand awareness
  • Recruit, manage, and coach volunteer committees to implement best practices and achieve fundraising goals
  • Coach and inspire volunteers and teams to set and meet their fundraising and event planning objectives
  • Create unique, engaging community outreach activities promoting the Alzheimer’s Association’s mission
  • Identify, recruit, and engage new companies and activity-based groups in your community
  • Manage volunteer-led events resulting in revenue growth year over year
  • Build and maintain a positive, healthy, and inclusive team environment fostering long-term community and volunteer relationships
  • Achieve or exceed designated financial and participant goals through team and individual fundraising, corporate solicitation, and community partnerships

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in volunteer committee development
  • Proven success at building sustainable corporate and community relationships
  • Successfully recruited, managed, and coached volunteer committees
  • Demonstrated ability to form and cultivate sustainable corporate relationships and partnerships
  • Eagerness to network and build relationships in the community year-round
  • Managed volunteer-led events resulting in revenue growth year over year
  • Known as a uniter with a positive, healthy, and inclusive team environment
  • Achieved or surpassed designated financial and participant goals through team and individual fundraising, corporate solicitation, and community partnerships
