Fundraising Manager, Do What You Love
More than a Do It Yourself Fundraiser, Do What You Love to end ALZ is a signature event of the Alzheimer’s Association and one of the fastest-growing, most unique peer-to-peer campaigns in the world. This role leads the campaign in your community, leveraging networking and relationship-building skills to identify and cultivate key connections, corporate partnerships, and new audiences—from golfers and hikers to live streamers and bridge players—to drive campaign success.
About the role
As exclusive manager of Do What You Love to end ALZ in Central & North Florida, you will recruit, train, coach, and inspire a volunteer committee to achieve fundraising and event-planning goals. This position is ideal for an innovative, independent go-getter who thrives with limited supervision and takes initiative to deliver measurable results. Based in Orlando or Jacksonville, the role requires up to 60% travel within the assigned territory, including occasional overnight or air travel.
Responsibilities
- Build sustainable corporate and community relationships to achieve event revenue goals and increase brand awareness.
- Recruit, manage, and coach volunteer committees to implement best practices and meet fundraising goals.
- Coach and inspire individuals and teams to set and reach revenue targets.
- Identify, recruit, and engage new companies and activity-based groups in the community.
- Manage volunteer-led events that drive year-over-year revenue growth.
- Foster a positive, inclusive team environment to build long-term community and volunteer relationships.
- Surpass financial and participant goals through team and individual fundraising, corporate solicitation, and partnerships.
- Develop community growth strategies targeting markets like golf, hiking, and live streaming.
- Execute plans with the Volunteer Committee to recruit and retain past participants through best practices and excellent customer service.
- Create unique, engaging outreach activities (e.g., community presentations, networking events, corporate engagement) to promote the Alzheimer’s Association’s mission.
- Maintain year-round relationships with Global Team partners and constituents to ensure involvement in chapter activities and recognition opportunities.
- Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Work evenings and weekends as required for event success.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of proven experience in volunteer committee development.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, good driving record, and proof of automobile insurance.
- Ability to bend, stoop, lift, and transport up to 25 lbs of materials.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and social media; experience with or ability to learn Luminate/Convio software.
Skills

Pay
The Alzheimer’s Association’s good-faith expectation for the salary range for this role is $50,000–$70,000.
