Fundraising Coordinator, Neurology & Neurosurgery

About the role
UCLA Health Sciences Development (HSD) is looking for a Fundraising Coordinator with strong administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills to support our team. This role offers hands-on experience in a medical and scientific innovation environment, facilitating the efforts of our HSD team across departments such as Neurology and Neurosurgery. As part of one of the most comprehensive and advanced health care systems in the world, you will contribute to cutting-edge biomedical research and specialized care ranked among the best in the country.
In this role, you will assist with scheduling meetings, drafting correspondence, responding to inquiries, managing information, and travel planning. You will build meaningful relationships with donors and colleagues while honing your customer service skills and working on a variety of projects that further our programs and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Provide critical organizational and planning support to the HSD team.
- Assist with scheduling meetings and managing calendars.
- Draft correspondence and respond to donor and colleague inquiries.
- Manage information and perform research using online searches, databases, and files.
- Support travel planning as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet deadlines and support fundraising initiatives.
Requirements
- Ability to learn and deliver customer service skills, including interacting in a friendly, professional manner and responding quickly to requests. (Required)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. (Required)
- Ability to exercise independent judgment, take initiative, be resourceful, and make decisions. (Required)
- Ability to research, gather, analyze, and synthesize information from various sources. (Required)

8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Pay
UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure, and certifications, among other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common.
