About the role
Join an experienced and highly collaborative investment team focused on delivering differentiated research insights and supporting the management of ThomasPartners investment strategies and Schwab active equity mutual funds.
Responsibilities
- Conduct rigorous fundamental, bottom-up equity research to evaluate current and prospective portfolio holdings
- Develop investment recommendations based on thorough analysis
- Uncover opportunities across assigned sectors and industries
- Build and maintain detailed company forecasts
- Assess industry and business drivers
- Evaluate valuation assumptions and develop price targets
- Contribute to research initiatives and support investment-related projects
- Collaborate with client service and distribution partners to communicate investment perspectives and respond to inquiries
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- CFA designation and/or MBA required
- 7+ years of experience as a fundamental equity analyst within an institutional investment environment
- Strong financial statement analysis, accounting, and financial modeling capabilities
- Experience developing company forecasts, valuation models, price targets, and investment recommendations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex financial and quantitative concepts
- Demonstrated analytical thinking and sound decision-making skills when evaluating complex or ambiguous information
- Experience using Bloomberg, FactSet, and related investment research platforms
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
