Fund Formation & Investment Management Associate

Responsibilities

• Aid in the formation and structuring of private equity, venture capital, and hedge funds.
• Negotiate side letters and provide advice on investment opportunities.
• Oversee fundraising processes and ensure compliance with ongoing regulatory requirements.
• Offer legal counsel on the daily needs of fund managers and investors.
• Collaborate on tax, securities laws, and fund economics.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in a large law firm setting, specializing in fund formation and investment adviser work.
• Strong academic background with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, take on responsibilities, and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of tax and securities laws, especially those applicable to private funds.
• Basic understanding of fund economics and willingness to learn more.
• Admission or eligibility for admission to practice in the jurisdiction of application.

Pay

Base Salary Range: £250,000 - £320,000/year (based on experience and location). Discretionary bonuses may also apply.
