Fund Formation Attorney: 2nd - 7th year
About the role
Cooley LLP seeks an attorney with two to seven years of private investment fund formation experience. The ideal candidate will have experience representing sponsors and investors in private investment funds, completing fund formation transactions, sponsor-level transactions, and secondary transactions involving limited partner and/or portfolio company interests. Candidates should have worked in the corporate department of a national or international law firm and possess a high level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school.
Responsibilities
- Represent sponsors and investors in private investment funds
- Complete fund formation transactions
- Engage in sponsor-level transactions (involving the general partner and management company entities)
- Participate in secondary transactions involving limited partner and/or portfolio company interests
Requirements
- Experience representing sponsors and investors in private investment funds
- Completed fund formation transactions
- Worked in the corporate department of a national or international law firm
- Nationally recognized law school graduate with high academic achievement

Pay
The expected annual pay range for this position is $235,000 - $420,000. Final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
