The team specializes in market-making, risk management, and electronic trading, leveraging innovation and technology to offer cutting-edge trading platforms and customized solutions.

About the Role

Nomura's Fund Financing & Solutions desk is hiring an Analyst or Associate in New York to join a high-visibility team executing bespoke financing solutions for private markets sponsors. You will:

• Summarize and analyze collateral pools, underwrite funds and sponsors, and form directional views on new opportunities.
• Create internal committee materials and communicate both internally and externally regarding new and existing opportunities.
• Coordinate KYC and onboarding workstreams through to transaction close.
• Own the desk's loan portfolio management infrastructure, serving as the point person for systems, models, and reporting used to monitor and manage the existing book.
• Act as a key internal touchpoint for risk, legal, finance, and other stakeholders seeking insights on individual transactions or the portfolio.
• Develop and deploy AI tooling to enhance underwriting and monitoring processes.

The role is heavily PowerPoint- and Excel-based, with a growing focus on leveraging technology to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

• Strong credit and analytical instincts, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Organizational discipline to manage and be trusted with a portfolio.
• Excellent communication skills, serving as a go-to resource for internal and external stakeholders.
• Prior experience in fund finance, structured credit, leveraged finance, private capital, or a related underwriting-intensive role is preferred.
• Genuine curiosity about how technology can reshape financing businesses is a differentiator.
• Must be currently authorized to work for any employer in the United States (visa sponsorship is not available for this position).

Pay

The expected base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is $110,000–$120,000. The total compensation package may include a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, discretionary awards, and eligibility for medical, financial, and other benefits (e.g., 401(k), paid time off for vacation, sick leave, and parental leave).
