Fund Administration Analyst

Who You’ll Work With The Global Fund Administration department is responsible for the oversight of approximately 600 pooled vehicles domiciled in the US, Luxembourg, Cayman Islands, as well as other global locations across the world. We oversee the day-to-day Net Asset Value calculation as well as the regulatory and client reporting requirements as required on a product-by-product basis. This role supports the firm’s pooled vehicles and GFA overseas all pooled products for the firm. The Fund Administration Analyst plays a key role in the administration of the day-to-day activities of all pooled vehicles for the Global Fund Administration department. The candidate will play an integral role in ensuring the requirements of our internal and external customers are managed efficiently and effectively as we look to provide “Best in Class Service” to all of our customers. The vast line of products we have within GFA, should provide you with great exposure and experience you normally will not see within a fund complex. You are not doing the day-to-day accounting, which gets redundant and tiring after some time. Our role is more analytical in nature. The oversight nature of this role allows a candidate to take their accounting knowledge to become more analytical in nature. We have a vast array of product types for candidates to learn over time, and we are a department that prefers to promote from within when the opportunity arises. What You’ll Do Ensure Fund Compliance with regulatory bodies (IRS, SEC, CSSF and others)Prepare Reports and schedules for Internal Customers (Portfolio Managers, Marketing, Legal, etc.)Assist in audit coordination and Shareholder Report reviewPrepare income analysis for Dividend Committee MeetingsReview expense analysis as well as creating new budgetsResolve operational problems or issuesAnalyze NAV Calculations for accuracyStrong knowledge of various alternative products - private equity funds, hedge funds, CLO fundsUnderstand the conceptual differences in private equity funds vs hedge fundsUnderstand the operational flows of capital calls, waterfall distributions, funded and unfunded capitalStrong understanding of incentive fees and have experience is setting up these calculationsRecommend and participate in the implementation of changes and enhancements to the departmentKeep management informed of any problems that arise on assigned fundsAssist on special projects as neededProcess ImprovementsDocument proceduresReply to client requests What We’re Looking For Minimum 3 years of experience in the mutual fund or finance industry as well as a 4-year degree in a business field (preferably accounting or finance related). Proficient knowledge of mutual fund accounting is required.Must have knowledge of tax issues, SEC regulations, financial reporting and the use of spreadsheets. Excellent analytical skills, communication skills, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrate proficiency in standard desktop applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc).Knowledge of RIC reporting requirements, financial reporting experiences and any alternative product knowledge is a plus. Candidates with process management/improvement experience is preferred.
