Fund Accountant

Job Overview

Atlantic Group is hiring a Fund Accountant in Austin, TX for a client in a private equity investment environment. The position offers broad exposure to private equity fund structures, financial reporting, and accounting operations within a collaborative and growth-oriented team.

Responsibilities

• Support fund accounting activities, including capital activity, investor allocations, financial reporting, and partnership accounting.
• Prepare financial statements, investor reporting packages, and supporting schedules while ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Aid with budgeting, expense management, intercompany accounting, and financial analysis for management company operations.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation to facilitate monthly and quarterly close processes.
• Support cash management activities, accounts payable processing, liquidity monitoring, and treasury operations across multiple entities.
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals while supporting process enhancements, controls, and system improvements.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Certification: CPA designation or progress toward CPA certification is required.
• Experience: 3–6 years of accounting experience within private equity, real estate, fund accounting, or other investment management environments is required.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience with partnership accounting, financial reporting, and investment-related accounting is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required, and experience with Yardi or similar accounting systems is preferred.
