Functional Life Skills Ed Techs

About the role

Brunswick's Special Education Department seeks functional life skills ed. techs to join our school teams for the 26-27 school year. Students in our programs have a wide variety of academic, functional, and developmental needs that must be addressed in ways that foster student development and growth.

Responsibilities

• Closely collaborate with team members to manage students’ programs
• Demonstrate the creativity and flexibility necessary to support students’ challenging behaviors
• Support students in the regular and special education settings (virtual or in person) in small groups or 1:1
• Implement students’ IEPs and behavior plans
• Support students’ unique needs as appropriate
• Provide support on Special Education transportation

Qualifications

• 2 Years of College or Equivalent Experience preferred
• Ed Tech Authorization through the Maine Department of Education
• Maine Criminal History Records Check
