About the Role

We are seeking a Retail Functional Consultant with 5-7+ years of experience as a Data Consultant, Business Systems Analyst, or Functional Analyst. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the retail sector and a strong background in customer data management.

Responsibilities

• Lead workshops and interviews with client stakeholders to document current and future-state needs for a unified customer view.
• Define and design conceptual and logical customer data models, including key attributes, entities, relationships, and hierarchies.
• Analyze source systems (e.g., Point-of-Sale, e-commerce, Loyalty Program, Marketing Cloud, ERP, Customer Service) and create detailed data mapping specifications for ETL/ELT teams.
• Collaborate with business teams to enable key use cases such as campaign segmentation, personalization, churn prediction, and customer lifetime value (CLV) calculation.
• Act as the functional expert during testing and validation phases to ensure the solution meets business requirements and data quality thresholds.
• Create and maintain comprehensive functional documentation, including data dictionaries, process flows, and business rule definitions for client adoption and governance.

Requirements

• 5-7+ years of experience as a Data Consultant, Business Systems Analyst, or Functional Analyst on large-scale data projects.
• Deep, hands-on experience in the retail sector with expertise in retail customer data (householding, loyalty tiers, promotional activity, cross-channel behavior).
• Proficiency in core Customer 360 / Master Data Management (MDM) concepts.
• Strong SQL skills for data profiling, source-to-target mapping validation, and ad-hoc analysis.
• Exceptional communication skills to translate complex data concepts for non-technical audiences and refine ambiguous business needs into precise technical requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Computer Science or a related field).
