Functional Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Functional Analyst who will support our NYS client. The Functional Analyst will review client-facing deliverables and coordinate project quality activities. This role partners with subject matter experts, project managers, and client teams to ensure reports, presentations, and technical documentation meet established templates, standards, and quality requirements while driving issues and action items to closure.

Responsibilities

• Review client-facing reports, presentations, and technical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established quality templates, style guides, standards, and checklists.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, project managers, and client teams to identify and resolve deliverable quality issues and drive outstanding action items to closure.
• Apply PMO practices to coordinate deliverables, track deadlines, identify issues and risks, and escalate delays or blockers as needed.
• Provide clear, actionable written and verbal feedback and support document coordination using Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams, and related tools.
• Manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality, ethical standards, strong organization, and consistent team collaboration.

Requirements

• 5-9 years of excellent communication skills.
• 5-9 years of PMO skills.
• 2-4 years of experience in quality assurance, deliverable review, or project management within consulting, technology, or a related professional services environment.
• Demonstrated experience reviewing client-facing deliverables, including reports, presentations, and technical documentation, for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established quality templates, style guides, standards, and checklists.
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams, including subject matter experts, project managers, and client teams, to resolve quality issues.
• Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, communications, language arts, or a related field.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and articulate gaps, inconsistencies, and risks in deliverables.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, actionable feedback and drive outstanding action items to closure, including escalating delays and issues as needed.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships across teams and assist with driving pending action items to closure.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio, and familiarity with document management systems such as SharePoint and Teams.
• Ability to quickly learn new processes, tools, and client requirements.
• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards when handling sensitive information.
• Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines as required.
• Demonstrated team-oriented performance, coordination, and collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing or supporting process improvements related to deliverable quality or project delivery.
• Familiarity with Health and Human Services systems.

Pay

W2 Hourly Rate: $50-60/hour

Schedule

• Location: Albany, NY (Hybrid)
• Duration: 10 months (with potential for extension)
• Start Date: estimated - 9/15/2026
