Fun Mountain Assistant Manager

About the Role

This position assists all aspects of Big Cedar Lodge Fun Center, including but not limited to bowling, ropes course, go-kart track, and other activities. The primary responsibility is to ensure the areas overseen provide guests with safe and enjoyable experiences aligned with our Mission and Values, driving both revenue and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Protect and drive Big Cedar culture and values in all interactions.
  • Ensure offerings are of the best quality, safe, and create new, educational, or value-added experiences for guests.
  • Provide leadership and direction to management teams in areas of responsibility.
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, supervising, and coordinating daily operations of the Fun Center.
  • Routinely inspect areas of ownership to observe processes, guest experiences, and gather feedback from guests and associates.
  • Hire, train, develop, coach, and manage leaders and associates in operational units.
  • Gather and analyze guest feedback to address and correct issues and concerns.
  • Administer resort policies fairly and consistently.
  • Utilize an “open door” policy to address associate problems or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Attend staff meetings.
  • Confer regularly with the Fun Center Manager and other Company personnel to plan, coordinate, and evaluate services/activities, exchange information, and resolve problems.
  • Deal with special problems related to inventory, purchasing, personnel, equipment, etc.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of previous leadership experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge is acquired.
  • Good administrative, math, and supervisory skills; some previous supervisory and budget administration experience.
  • Ability to deal effectively with customers and other Company personnel.
