Key Responsibilities
- Perform billing and collection activities within established timelines
- Verify and apply Medicaid, HMO, and insurance billing codes and reimbursement rates
- Auxiliary with audits, ensuring compliance and quality assurance of documentation
- Manage high volumes of phone communication with clients, families, and payers
- Maintain and update billing databases and EMR systems
- Respond to inquiries and documentation requests within 24 hours
- Collaborate with clinicians, administrators, and RCM leadership
- Represent Chrysalis Health professionally during all interactions
- Communicate with patients professionally and compassionately
- Resolve billing issues and denied claims
- Maintain all annual training and compliance requirements
What You Need to Succeed
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Skilled in navigating Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access)
- Comfortable with databases and billing systems (e.g., Winasap 2000)
- A strong communicator with excellent customer service skills
- Able to work independently while collaborating with a remote team
- Careful, patient, and mission-driven
- Knowledge of insurance and Medicaid billing
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work independently in a remote environment
Minimum Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED
- At least one year of billing, collections, financial services, or administrative experience in a healthcare environment
- Proficiency with computers, billing software, and EMR systems
- A clear background check annually
