Key Responsibilities

  • Perform billing and collection activities within established timelines
  • Verify and apply Medicaid, HMO, and insurance billing codes and reimbursement rates
  • Auxiliary with audits, ensuring compliance and quality assurance of documentation
  • Manage high volumes of phone communication with clients, families, and payers
  • Maintain and update billing databases and EMR systems
  • Respond to inquiries and documentation requests within 24 hours
  • Collaborate with clinicians, administrators, and RCM leadership
  • Represent Chrysalis Health professionally during all interactions
  • Communicate with patients professionally and compassionately
  • Resolve billing issues and denied claims
  • Maintain all annual training and compliance requirements

What You Need to Succeed

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Skilled in navigating Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access)
  • Comfortable with databases and billing systems (e.g., Winasap 2000)
  • A strong communicator with excellent customer service skills
  • Able to work independently while collaborating with a remote team
  • Careful, patient, and mission-driven
  • Knowledge of insurance and Medicaid billing
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work independently in a remote environment

Minimum Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • At least one year of billing, collections, financial services, or administrative experience in a healthcare environment
  • Proficiency with computers, billing software, and EMR systems
  • A clear background check annually
