Fully Credentialed School Bus CDL Drivers
Looking for a job that fits your life and makes a difference? Summit School Services is immediately hiring fully credentialed School Bus Drivers with School Bus and Passenger endorsements. No nights or weekends, and reliable split-hour schedules that work around your day.
Pay
- Up to $28.10/hour
- $5,000 retention bonus for pre-certified drivers:
- $2,500 after 90 days of employment
- $2,500 after 180 days of employment
- Guaranteed hours: 4 hours/day, 20 hours/week
Requirements
- Current CDL with both P (Passenger) and S (School Bus) endorsements
- Valid school bus certificate
- CPR certificate
- Possession of T01 training documents
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL A or B)
- Minimum 3 years of driving experience (5 years if applying in Tennessee)
- Minimum age: 21 (25 in Tennessee)
- If you’ve held a DOT-regulated driving role in the past 3 years, employment must be verifiable per DOT guidelines
- Pass DOT drug screen, physical, and background check
- Compliance with DOT regulations (marijuana prohibited, even for medical use)
- Reliable attendance and safety-first attitude
Schedule
- Flexible part-time schedule with split shifts (morning and afternoon)
- No nights, weekends, or holidays
- Seasonal employment option with summers off

Responsibilities
- Safely operate a school bus on assigned local routes
- Transport students to and from school, sports, and events
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain a clean, safe bus environment
- Communicate courteously with students, parents, and school staff
- Follow all federal, state, local, and company safety rules
