Fullstack Java Developer

About the role

Our Livingston, NJ Fintech client is seeking a Senior Application Developer with 5+ years of full-stack Java experience. You will manage day-to-day tasks, participate in sprint planning, collaborate closely with product teams and stakeholders, lead design sessions, mentor engineers, perform development, and work with QA to deliver high-quality solutions on time.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineers to ensure adherence to best practices and guidelines
• Perform heads-down development and participate in design sessions
• Collaborate with product management, architects, and stakeholders
• Develop web applications and RESTful web services
• Work with QA to ensure top-quality deliverables
• Integrate AI-assisted development tools into workflows

Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years of Java/JEE programming
• Minimum 3+ years of practical experience with Spring frameworks and Spring Boot
• Minimum 2+ years of experience with relational databases and DB programming (Oracle/PL/SQL)
• Minimum 3+ years of experience with RESTful APIs and web services
• Minimum 2+ years of experience with JPA/Hibernate or Spring Repositories
• Experience with JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks (Angular or ReactJS)
• Experience with agile software management (Rally/JIRA/RTC)
• Experience in web development (HTML5 + CSS3)
• Experience with automated testing
• Proven experience integrating AI-assisted development tools
• B.S. in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
