Fullfillment Lead
About the role
Assists with daily activities of the shipping department regarding materials movement or handling, receiving, loading, unloading, transporting, stacking, order filling, and shipping printed product. Performs manual and clerical duties related to the preparation and shipment of customer samples and finished product mailed primarily through FedEx, UPS, USPS, and other similar carriers. Ensures product is produced and prepared according to customer specifications and service level agreements.
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction and guidance to employees and audit work processes and products to confirm production specifications are met.
- Maintain positive and effective relationships with employees. Direct employees to the appropriate manager regarding policy questions.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, policies, and procedures. Report any problems, potential problems, or hazardous situations to management.
- Inspect products and/or shipments to verify conformance to specifications.
- Review and approve production samples and/or shipments as necessary.
- Assist management with implementation of “Continuous Improvement” initiatives.
- Maintain records; compile standard reports, file, tabulate, and perform routine clerical tasks.
- Attend production meetings and/or confer with other departments to coordinate production and shipping/receiving activities.
- Coordinate or perform training for new employees, contract workers, and/or guests to ensure safety, quality, and production requirements are understood.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Maintain security at receiving/shipping dock doors.
- Ensure the “Quality Policy and Objectives” are understood and achieved.
- May drive delivery van to transport materials or products in the local area, maintaining a safe vehicle and complying with all government regulatory laws.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 1 or more years of experience in a manufacturing/operations environment.
- Able to consistently apply applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and program objectives when carrying out the duties of the job.
- May provide oversight of work conducted by junior-level staff and/or review/audit work for accuracy.
- Basic knowledge of technology including computers and software programs such as MS Office, Mac word processing, spreadsheets, or other programs specific to the job.
- Adequate oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively across departments.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and prioritize workload.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and rarely lift in excess of 50 pounds.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
- Ability to communicate and interact with a variety of internal/external customers and/or co-workers at the level of detail required to resolve issues.

Pay
The national pay range for this role is $45,540 per year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based on education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, the total compensation package may include participation in a bonus, commission, or incentive program.
